{"id":5958,"date":"2018-08-31T17:51:10","date_gmt":"2018-08-31T17:51:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/admissions\/undergraduate\/?post_type=faq&#038;p=5958"},"modified":"2025-09-25T17:40:49","modified_gmt":"2025-09-25T21:40:49","slug":"which-sat-or-act-score-do-you-review-and-what-if-i-took-more-than-one-test-2","status":"publish","type":"faq","link":"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/admissions\/undergraduate\/question\/which-sat-or-act-score-do-you-review-and-what-if-i-took-more-than-one-test-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Does UCF superscore the SAT or ACT?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>UCF superscores both the SAT and the ACT.\u00a0 The SAT superscore is compiled using the highest Evidence-Based Reading\/Writing and Math from all test components received.\u00a0 The ACT superscore is compiled using the highest English, Math, Reading and Science (for tests taken before April 2025**) scores from all test components received.<\/p>\n<p>UCF does not prefer one test over the other.\u00a0 Since students perform differently on each test, they are encouraged to take both exams if possible.<\/p>\n<p>** Effective April 2025, the Science section of the ACT exam is optional, and UCF no longer requires a Science score to be considered for admission.\u00a0If a student presents one or more ACT exams, and those exams were all taken prior to April 2025, UCF will use all four sections to calculate a superscore. If a student presents any ACT exam taken in April 2025 or later, the composite score will be calculated using the English, Mathematics and Reading sections only. The State of Florida has released the following guidance:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The ACT Science subsection is not required for admission to Florida public universities under FL BOG
