This set of four classes will teach students how to transform raw data so it can be used to further the strategic goals of the business. Students will learn economic theories and quantitative methods that can be used to make evidence-based decisions rather than relying on intuition. Mastering tools such as Excel, Python, and R will give students a competitive edge and make them more valuable to employers who seek to improve operations and identify new opportunities. These skills are applicable across various sectors such as marketing, finance, and supply chain management.

Certificate Requirements

• No course grade lower than a C will be accepted for the certificate requirements, and the average GPA for the four courses must be 3.0 or higher.
• The College of Business does not permit any course used towards a certificate or those used to meet admission requirements for the certificate to be taken on an elective S/U grading basis.

Degree Requirements

• Complete the following:
  • QMB3310 - Spreadsheets in Business Analytics (3)
  • QMB3311 - Python for Business Analytics (3)
  • ECO4412 - Econometrics I (3)
  • ECO4443 - Introduction to Business Analytics (3)
