The Master of Science in Criminal Justice at UCF equips you with the advanced knowledge and leadership skills to drive meaningful impact in a complex, evolving field. This graduate program integrates criminal justice theory, management, research methods and data analysis to prepare you for evidence-based decision-making across the criminal justice system.

Courses are taught by experienced practitioners and leading researchers — experts in criminal justice systems and policy, crime types, and criminal behavior. Through an interdisciplinary curriculum, you’ll examine the causes and consequences of public policy with a focus on criminal justice policy and its real-world impact.

You’ll also gain a critical understanding of the criminal justice system by analyzing formal and informal processes used by agencies to supervise offenders. Specialized topics include the development and philosophy of the juvenile justice system, as well as the measurement, causes and prevention of delinquency.

Graduates develop in-demand expertise in criminal justice leadership, policy analysis, and research methods, preparing for advanced roles in law enforcement, courts, corrections and public administration. The program prepares future criminal justice leaders to effectively interpret research and translate complex organizational data into clear, actionable insights.
