{"id":6047,"date":"2019-10-02T19:57:14","date_gmt":"2019-10-02T23:57:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/financial-aid\/?post_type=faq&#038;p=6047"},"modified":"2024-06-27T09:53:05","modified_gmt":"2024-06-27T13:53:05","slug":"how-many-credit-hours-must-an-eligible-student-take-to-receive-bright-futures-funding","status":"publish","type":"faq","link":"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/financial-aid\/question\/how-many-credit-hours-must-an-eligible-student-take-to-receive-bright-futures-funding\/","title":{"rendered":"How many credit hours must an eligible student take to receive Bright Futures funding?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Eligible students must enroll in at least 6 non-remedial undergraduate credit hours each term to receive Bright Futures funding.<\/p>\n<p>Exceptions are granted for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Eligible students who have less than 6 credit hours of remaining eligibility (this is done automatically at UCF)<\/li>\n<li>Eligible students who need less than 6 credit hours to graduate. These students must submit a letter (on official letterhead) from their student success coach. The letter should be sent to the attention of the Bright Futures Department and should state:\n<ul>\n<li>Student\u2019s name &amp; UCFID\/PID<\/li>\n<li>Name of course(s) needed for graduation<\/li>\n<li>Name of the undergraduate degree to be received<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Graduate level hours may be approved by the student\u2019s student success coach if the graduate level hours will count toward the undergraduate degree completion requirements. These students must submit a letter (on official letterhead) from their student success coach.
