The Sophomore & Second Year Center collaborated with the Student Financial Assistance and college advising support offices in providing a 鈥淔inancial Aid Information鈥� session on October 11 for sophomores and second-year UCF students. This outreach information program was offered as part of 鈥淪ophomore Transition鈥� initiatives.
Students received important financial aid updates and discussion on how 鈥渘ot to lose their financial aid鈥� from Stephon Lewis and two other SFA representatives. The program discussion topics included: financial aid renewal, satisfactory academic progress, scholarships and Bright Futures, the loan process at UCF, and funds for books.
A number of questions were asked during the general Q&A portion of this session. One student commented, 鈥淭his was a real valuable program, as I am concerned about keeping my scholarship after this semester. Thanks for offering this session.鈥�
