{"id":105036,"date":"2019-12-04T11:39:57","date_gmt":"2019-12-04T16:39:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/news\/?p=105036"},"modified":"2019-12-04T14:00:39","modified_gmt":"2019-12-04T19:00:39","slug":"presidential-search-open-forum-and-committee-meeting-on-dec-9","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/news\/presidential-search-open-forum-and-committee-meeting-on-dec-9\/","title":{"rendered":"Presidential Search Open Forum and Committee Meeting on Dec. 9"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The next presidential search open forum and UCF Presidential Search Committee meeting will be held at UCF Downtown on Monday, Dec. 9.<\/p>\n<p>Students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends are invited to attend the open forum to share what qualifications and characteristics they are looking for in UCF&#8217;s next president. The open forum will be from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the east wing of the Dr. Phillips Academic Commons building in room 161.<\/p>\n<p>The Presidential Search Committee will meet at 3:30 p.m. in Dr. Phillips Academic Commons room 169. The campus community and public are invited to attend or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=gFEHBvwtYO4&amp;feature=youtu.be\">watch online<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Parking for both events is available in the Parramore Garage. Visit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/downtown\/transportation\/#parking\">https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/downtown\/transportation\/#parking<\/a> for more information and a map of the downtown campus.<\/p>\n<p>The campus and Central Florida community can also provide feedback <a href=\"https:\/\/www.surveymonkey.com\/r\/SM3J379\">via an online survey<\/a>. The survey also is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.surveymonkey.com\/r\/8CJPWFH\">available in Spanish<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Input during open forums, as well as the online survey, will help guide Storbeck\/Pimentel &amp; Associates \u2013 the firm chosen to aid in the search \u2013 and members of the Presidential Search Committee in recruiting and selecting candidates.<\/p>\n<p>Representatives from the search firm and the Presidential Search Committee will host the open forum.<\/p>\n<p>Additional open forums to provide feedback will be held in January.<\/p>\n<p>The next president is expected to be chosen next spring and start next summer.<\/p>\n<p>For more information about the search, visit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/presidential-search\/\">ucf.edu\/presidential-search<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The campus and local community are invited to attend the open forum at the UCF Downtown campus and watch the committee meeting online.
