Beginning July 1, WUCF 89.9 FM is revamping its programming to make room for jazzier evenings and is shifting shows\u2019 timeslots.<\/p>\n
On weekday afternoons, longtime Sunday jazz host John Segers is taking the helm of \u201cAfternoon Jazz,\u201d which airs from 2 to 6 p.m. WUCF will be dropping \u201cFresh Air\u201d for a jazzier lineup, moving the current 7 p.m. weekday National Public Radio schedule (\u201cJazz at Lincoln Center,\u201d \u201cJazz Profiles,\u201d \u201cJazzSet,\u201d \u201cJazz Inspired\u201d and \u201cMarian McPartland\u2019s Piano Jazz\u201d) to 6 p.m.<\/p>\n
\u201cJazzWorks\u201d hosted by Tony Mowad will begin at 7 p.m. weekdays, an hour earlier than previous scheduled.<\/p>\n
Saturdays on the 海角直播\u2019s listener-supported, public radio station will remain the same, with no schedule changes.<\/p>\n
Sunday mornings, NPR\u2019s \u201cWeekend Edition\u201d will be replaced with \u201cBob Edwards Weekend\u201d in the same timeslot, from 8 to 10 a.m. Many know Edwards from his years as an anchor for NPR\u2019s \u201cMorning Edition.\u201d He is often considered among the most distinguished journalists in broadcasting, winning the DuPont-Columbia Award for radio journalism, a prestigious Peabody Award for excellence in broadcasting and the Edward R. Murrow Award for outstanding contributions to public radio.<\/p>\n
WUCF is on the FM dial at 89.9 and is a non-commercial, nonprofit public broadcasting service, licensed by UCF. WUCF broadcasts all day, every day of the year and has been on the air since 1979.<\/p>\n
