Congratulations to:<\/p>\n<li><strong>Stephanie Pataky<\/strong>, \u201905 (pictured), and\u00a0<strong>Jennifer C. Hartzler<\/strong>, &#8217;06 and &#8217;07, received the\u00a0<em>Rising Star Award<\/em>. Pataky is the district manager of CompuPay, Inc; Hartzler is associate (dispute resolution\/international arbitration) at Herbert Smith LLP in London.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Stan Horton<\/strong>, \u201973, received the\u00a0<em>Professional Achievement Award<\/em>. He is a College of Business Administration Hall of Fame member and president and CEO of Boardline Pipeline Partners.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Karl Hodges<\/strong>, \u201982, received the\u00a0<em>Service to UCF Award<\/em>\u00a0for his service on several UCF boards and committees.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Daniel Tosh<\/strong>, \u201996, the well-known comedian and host of Comedy Central\u2019s Tosh.0, received the\u00a0<em>Michelle Akers Award<\/em>\u00a0for the global recognition that he brings to UCF.<\/li>\n<p>In addition to the alumni, international business student\u00a0<strong>Melissa Blette<\/strong>, received the Distinguished Student Award.<\/p>\n<p>The Black and Gold gala is held each year during Homecoming Week.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Five College of Business Administration graduates were honored at the UCF Alumni Association\u2019s Black and Gold gala.
