UCF has recently enjoyed memorable trips to Arizona and Ireland. For the 2014 postseason, fans will not have to travel far to support the Knights. UCF will take over the Bay Area once again for the 2014 Bitcoin St. Petersburg Bowl, where it will face NC State on Friday, Dec. 26, at 8 p.m. on ESPN.

“After a 9-3 season we are very happy to go to the Bitcoin St. Petersburg Bowl,” head coach George O’Leary said. “Obviously a bowl game is a great reward for the players, the program and the fanbase. We are very anxious to get to St. Petersburg and enjoy the bowl and its festivities. It will be a great experience for our players and fans.”

This will be UCF’s third bowl trip to Tropicana Field, and its seventh bowl game in the last 10 seasons. NC State carries a 7-5 overall record and went 3-5 in the Atlantic Coast Conference. It completed the regular season by defeating Wake Forest and North Carolina in its final two contests.
