It\u2019s the third consecutive year that UCF\u2019s team has come out on top in the Southeast region.<\/p>\n<p>The team will now travel to San Antonio on April 24-26 to compete in the Raytheon National Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition against nine other regional winners.<\/p>\n<p>Other teams will likely be gunning for the 海角直播 in San Antonio, because UCF\u2019s team is the defending national champion. That victory in 2014 earned team members a trip to the White House to meet Vice President Joe Biden.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a busy month for UCF\u2019s cyber-warriors. On Friday, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/news\/cyber-defense-microsoft-build-the-shield\/\">they head to Microsoft headquarters<\/a> in Redmond, Wash., to participate in the computer and software giant\u2019s \u201cBuild the Shield\u201d competition for the first time.<\/p>\n<p>At the Southeast competition on Tuesday and Wednesday, UCF also won two specialty awards: \u201cBest in Business\u201d for accurately completing the largest number of business injects of any team, and \u201cBest in Service\u201d for maintaining the highest overall system up-time of 92 percent. This year&#8217;s up-time score breaks the previous up-time record for the Southeast region, which was also set by UCF in 2013.<\/p>\n<p>In winning the Southeast contest, the UCF team bested teams from the 海角直播 of South Florida, 海角直播 of North Carolina-Charlotte, 海角直播 of North Carolina-Wilmington, College of Charleston, Georgia Regents 海角直播, Montreat College and Tennessee Technical 海角直播.<\/p>\n<p>Members of this year\u2019s team include: Carlos Beltran, Jason Cooper, Austin Brogle, Conner Brooks, Kevin Colley, Alex Davis, Nathaniel Dennis, Tyler Dever, Kevin DiClemente, Andres Giron, Jonathan Lundstrom and Shane Welch.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"UCF\u2019s cyber-warriors have done it again.
