Four student teams will face off for $75,000 in cash and essential business services Friday, April 15 in the finals of the annual Joust New Venture Competition.\u00a0 The finals, which will be free and open to the public, will begin at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 15, in the UCF Pegasus Ballroom in the Student Union on the UCF main campus.<\/p>\n
The four teams remaining from the field of 16 semi-finalists in this year\u2019s Joust competition are:<\/p>\n
\u201cThis event showcases some of the best and brightest students from across UCF battling it out in Shark Tank <\/em>fashion for the chance to win startup money for their business,\u201d said Dr. Cameron Ford, director of the Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership. \u201cThe judges were unanimous in their praise for this year’s teams, noting that our semi-finalists were the best collection of student ventures they’ve seen.\u201d<\/p>\n
