\n[lead]What would a football game be without the marching\u00a0band? If you ask senior Bobby Gillman, the Marching\u00a0Knights\u2019 sousaphone coordinator, \u201cThat\u2019d be like\u00a0chicken without the spices \u2014 and that just shouldn\u2019t\u00a0happen.\u201d[\/lead]<\/p>\n

Thankfully, the Marching Knights have been\u00a0adding the essential zest to the university\u2019s football\u00a0games for the past 40 seasons, with the band\u2019s creation\u00a0just a year after the team\u2019s founding. As one of the\u00a0largest student organizations at UCF, the Marching\u00a0Knights are the most visible and vibrant force on\u00a0campus \u2014 and they put in hundreds of hours a semester\u00a0to uphold that honor and responsibility.<\/p>\n

\u201cBeing a\u00a0Marching Knight is a huge test of character, but our\u00a0bond is what keeps me coming back,\u201d Gillman says. \u201cWe\u2019re the hype men for the\u00a0whole university.\u201d<\/p>\n
