In a battle of logic, strategy and mental endurance, a team of three Knights spent five hours solving complex real-world problems to secure seventh place in the 2022 North American Championship of International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC). The competition, which was hosted at UCF, pits teams from 50 elite institutions against each other for a chance to earn one of 17 spots at the World Finals. Rising above competitors from Stanford, Columbia, Harvard and Cornell, UCF Computer Programming Team Iris \u2014 which includes students Daniel West and Seba Villalobos \u2014 has secured their second chance to prove they\u2019re world champions.<\/p>\n

\u201cQualifying for World Finals not once, but twice, was my goal since I joined UCF, so I\u2019m happy I achieved it.\u201d<\/p>\n
