BIOGRAPHY:
Gabrielle Quadrado joined the Coastal Risks and Engineering (CoRE) Lab at UCF in Summer 2025 as a Postdoctoral Researcher. She holds a bachelor鈥檚 degree in Oceanography from the Federal 海角直播 of Rio Grande (Brazil) and a master鈥檚 degree in Geosciences from the Federal 海角直播 of Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil). She earned her Ph.D. in Geography, with a concentration in Climate Science, from the 海角直播 of Florida in Spring 2025.
RESEARCH:
Gabrielle鈥檚 research focuses on sea-level variability, coastal hazards, and extreme waves and water level events. She integrates observational datasets with statistical models and geospatial analyses to assess the drivers, frequency, and impacts of coastal flooding and erosion events across different spatiotemporal scales. At the CoRE Lab, Gabrielle鈥檚 current work leverages satellite altimetry datasets and machine learning techniques to reconstruct and analyze storm surges and extreme water levels globally. Overall, her work contributes to an improved understanding of coastal hazards and supports efforts to build climate resilience in vulnerable coastal regions.
